I'm still in the break-in period for my '04 8cyl Limited and I'm going down the highway varying my speed so I don't stay at the same speed for too long, staying under 60 mph etc., when I wonder, why the hell am I doing this? I mean, the pistons don't travel more or less distance at a higher speed do they? Everything moves the same, just faster or slower.
So, as long as you stay within a reasonable speed, what does varyng speed (revolutions) do for a new engine? Why is it bad to stay at the same speed?
