wierd sound coming from engine bay!!! HELP

well my 2000 4runner 4WD SR5 makes a weird noise after it warms up. it sounds like metal hitting metal, and it is more likely to happen when im pushing the gas pedal then when im just cruising it goes away.

ANY IDEAS???????

i admit i ride my 4runner hard as hell like i use all the horsepower and all of my V6 ability anytime i can. but its only got 144,XXX miles so HELP!!!!!

Stop beating on your truck if you want her to last another 144,xxx miles - Seriously though you probably have a valve issue or something in your top end if you hear metal to metal if the noise is up top...otherwise it could be a rod bearing if the noise is from below - Bearings would be worst case. Any metal noise from the engine is never good. Have you been on top of your oil changes? Try some seafoam and then use lucas oil additive when you change your oil after the seafoam.

Could be anything, need a video of the noise. Is it knocking, tapping, ticking, squeaking....? Throughout entire RPM range? What oil weight is in it now? What gas? got a CEL?
