Will 1990 rims fit my 1999?

Hi all...

Will a set of 15" 1990 4Runner aluminum rims fit my 1999? My 99 has the 16" rims with 265/70R16 tires.

I just got my SR5 (with only 85,000 kms about 53K miles) and I'd like to use the 1990 rims for winter tires. The guy selling the rims thinks they came off a 1990 4Runner.

Of the things I've read, the if your 4Runner came with 16" wheels from the factory you will not be able to fit 15" wheels.....issues with the brake calipers/rotors.

Thanks, Raydouble. According to my owner's manual, the base 1999 came with 15" wheels, too. Does that mean the 4Runners with 16" wheels had bigger/different brakes?
