Will 4Runner door hardware fit a truck door?

At some point my 88 4Runner had its doors replaced with those from a truck. If I get ahold of the rear handle hardware, will it bolt in place on my passenger side truck door? Or were they completely different door on the 4runner and trucks? Would really like to know this before I buy a set of 4Runner door panels...
