Will 861s & Billstein 5100s work together?

The rear of my SS 1.2 is sagging from the weight of my rear Cbi Swing Arm bumper and the box in the back. So, I'd like to fix this before our trip in June.

I could order a bag kit from Steve, but I'm not sure it would;
A. Supply enough actual lift
B. Hold up over time to IL weather
C. It's specific to the SS 1.2 lift so I have not seen much info on the kit.

So, I'm looking at getting OME 861s but I'd like to use my 5100s as they have only been on four years (<50k). I believe they are still in good shape. Or, should I just replace them while I'm doing the springs?

Any input would be appreciated.

I am fairly certain that the 1.2 system utilizes an LC coil... right?

If that's the case (which I think it is) then your 5100s will be just fine.

The 861's are a great spring. With my cbi bumper, cargo box, and rooftop tent (with wife sleeping inside) there is no noticable sag... Highly recommend them.

Thanks for rhe reply and pictures. I don't have a roof tent yet but plan on getting one eventually.

Sounds like a good rear set up. I have plans to run the 861's with the 5100s as well. I have all the parts but still waiting to get my 4runner back from the body shop.....taking a biiiit longer then expected. I havent heard anything negative about the set up yet so seems like you should be good to go.

I think I will order the springs tomorrow. Toltec usually have them stock

Nice. Last time I checked (couple months ago) they had the 861s in stock. Chances are you'll get them installed before I do....let me know how you like them
