Will 99 4runner rims fit my 1994 4runner?

I am looking to update my rims. I think that I would like to put the newer style rims on (1999) but I am wondering if they will fit?

Yes, 15" or 16" rims from a '99 will fit a '94. I know a guy that lives in my neighborhood that as a '93 4Runner w/ a set of '99 4Runer rims on his and every time I see it, I think it's a 3rd Gen 4Runner. I was amazed the newer wheels make the overall runner look that newer. However, what I don't know is if he's made any mods to make them fit. As far as I know he hasn't.

I've been wanting to add a set of 15's from a '98 to my '95 to give it that updated look. After seeing his, I'll probably do it in a year or so when it's time to buy new tires.

I am pretty serious about finding some 17" Tacoma rims and putting them on my 1994 4runner.

Do you guys think that they will fit? I am hoping that they stick out a little so that I can get some moderate fender flares.
