Will Goodyear Wrangler SA's Rub?

I recently got an 07 SR5, and the first thing I'd like to do is new tires - good on road and capable off road (moderate trails only).

After searching through all the posts here, I'm pretty sure I'd like to go with the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor (second choice is Toyo Open Country A/T) in a 265/75/16. While I've read lots of posts that say this size won't rub, there do seem to be some tires where some people have had rubbing issues (e.g., BFG T/A KO). Since I haven't seen anything specific to this tire in this size, I'd appreciate any input about whether I should expect any rubbing, especially off road when the suspension is compressed.

Welcome. Are you changing rims? Offset of the new rims is really important with respect to rubbing. That size you mentioned should have no rubbing issues. Some report BFG K/O's rub a bit. The BFG's seem to run 'big' and have a very squared off edge. A couple of members here, Spaceman & RL Lemke, have Goodyear SAs. If you search thier user names you'll find lots of info.

I plan on sticking with the stock rims.

I can't help you with the Goodyear Silent Armors but I have Toyo Open Country AT in 265/75/16 on the stock 16" rims and do not have any rubbing. I have about 30K miles on them and there is plenty of tread left.

Thanks, that's good to know since that's my second choice. Have you have them off road much, and how did they do?
