Will not idle, any suggestions?

I drove through a big puddle and since then my truck won't run normal. I checked everywhere for water but it is all dry. I changed the fuel filter, spark plugs and wires.
It only starts with starting fluid and then it dies if I don't keep the rpm's above 1200. Any ideas?

how big was the puddle? How high did it go on ur truck?

It was a big enough puddle to block any and all sight. I was going fast through it but it wasn't real deep so nothing was submerged in the water. Before the puddle I was bouncing around in some thick mud so something may have come loose or the idle messed up or something.

this happend to me when i was washing my rig. try pulling off your dist cap and dry it out that worked for me let me know if it works for you

I did the same thing washing my truck once so that was one of the first places I looked. It was dry. I really didn't get a lot of water on the engine since it was more of a splash than a submerge. I think something has come loose from the bouncing in the mud but I don't know what. Very frustrating!
