will OME springs fit on ICON coilovers?

Hi Everyone,

I was hoping someone could help me out. I am currently running bilstein 5100's with an 885 medium duty OME spring up front.

I am planning to switch out my bilsteins for a set of ICON stage1 coilovers and I was wondering if my OME spring will swap over to my ICON coilover?

I think it would be smarter for me to swap over my OME spring onto my ICON coilover instead of preloading my stock ICON coilover to compensate for my weight up front, but I would like confirmation first before I do it lol

Any major coilover manufacturer should be able to build you a set of coilovers with whatever spring rate you need, it may just take extra time. I'd probably preference that because then you can just sell the struts you have now as a package, not to mention less work. Can't help on whether or not the coil size is the same although that should be relatively easy to find out.

Just use the springs that come with the coil overs. ICON (unlike fox and King...) will sell you the coil over with whatever spring you want installed. Typically 650 or 700. Both of those probably carry more weight than medium duty OME. 700 is as high as you would ever want to go.

Interesting, thank you for that information. Can I still order custom spring rates even if I don’t order them directly through icon? I was planning on buying them through metal tech.

Give them a call on the phone. I ordered Radflo's through Metaltech and they had no problem getting them to me with 700lb coils. They seem to deal a lot of Icon and Radflo so I'd imagine it wouldn't be an issue.

I just wanted to update this post, just incase anyone was wondering.

I just ordered my icon coilovers and Jsparky was indeed correct. I gave metaltech a call and they gladly put 700lbs springs on my coilovers.
