Will this battery work?

I know my battery is dying and need to get a new one, but I was wondering if anyone knew if this battery would work until I can get a suitable replacement? It's out of my 2wd 89 pickup and has barely been used (parked the truck in November of 2013 and barely drove it since) but it has been on the trickle charger and the rig has been started from time to time. I plan on putting it in to see if it works tomorrow at lunch unless anyone says otherwise.

If it fits it works (pretty much) --- but seriously you should see if it fits.

It should fit fine. It's a Group 25, which is a bit smaller than a Group 24F, which fits according to some posts here.

Although, the terminals are reversed on a 25, and now that I look at your picture more closely I see that's a socket kit in the background, not the top of the battery. Whoops.

So you might have issues with the cables reaching the terminals.

You are not wrong about that... I'll have to see how far the wires stretch out for it to work. Dang.
