Will this Bilstein/FJ kit work on 4Runner?

I have been searching craigslist for a while now trying to locate some FJ springs before I go and buy the Bilstein 5100's to accompany them.

This fella has a complete OEM set off of springs and Billies of a 2010 FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Special Edition (TTSE)

Would this work with my 2004 4Runner?

my understanding is that it will fit but it won't be a direct fitment. there will be some modification. 07-09 is a direct swap though. for all things fj swaps i would pm ARK SWAMP RIDER. that guy knows all there is to know about that topic. good luck though!

this is the set up i have on my 05 4Runner...i didnt have to modify anything, it was a direct fit.

If you look at ARK's sig, there's a direct link to the FJ swap with all the info you'll need to make sure it will work and fit as well as the amount of lift you'll get when completed!

just remember those are not the 5100 bilsteins for sale, so the front is not height adjustable. Those are the factory bilstein for the Trail Teams FJ.

they gave me allmost a full 3" of lift. only issue i had was the inner cv boot clamps couldnt hold any longer. i cut the stock clamps off and put some hose clamps on...problem solved. i have stock size wheels and tires with spacers...no issues.

My understanding is that 2010 spring need a small mod to fit.
The TT shocks will fit.
But if you plan on any lift then you will want to get the 5100 shocks, the tt shocks will work but are not going to accommodate a lift as well.
I went with 07 FJ springs and 5100 set at 2.5 and a daystar 1.5 spacer in back.
It worked out perfect for me, I'm loving the ride quality.
FJ springs seem to give anywhere from .5 to 1.5 inch lift. I got 1.5 front and 1.0 back from the FJ springs.

Thanks guys this looks like a little more than I want. I will keep looking for 07-09 FJ springs (if anyone hears about any let me know).

No personal experience, but from what others have posted any year 07+ coils will workbut only the 07-09 shocks are a direct fit. The 2010+ shocks aren't hard to fit, but they will require permanent modification to the rear shock mounts.
