Hey guys, I bought a '97 4WD auto 4runner limited in October. I bought it as a beater with a few known problems like the diff which hums. After a more thorough inspection (after I bought it) I found some extensive frame rust on the rear where the receiver connects and have been dealing with getting those issues straightened up since and just now able to drive it. To replace the rear I bought this replacement
. I'm reading that with the larger bearing caps it will not fit my 4runner. The seller said he's positive it came out of an auto 4runner. Can anyone confirm whether this style (which I now believe is the t100/tacoma/tundra diff) will fit? It is an 8" with 4.10 ratio which matches mine which is good. Any input would be great this is my first time doing differential research and I think I know the answer. Do any other style diffs have those bearing caps like that or does that distinguish the pickup one only? Can't wait to get all the issues resolved and drive this thing cause I fell in love with it and been waiting 5 months to drive it! lol Thanks
