winch on 99?

is it possible to mount a winch on a 99 without modification?

Without ANY modification, probably not. But something I have on my jeep is a hitch reciever mounted on the front so you can use a hitch mounted winch. I prefer this because I can mount my winch on the front or back of the truck (you never know which way you want to pull yourself until you are in it!) You can buy the hitch receiver at most auto parts store (about $25) and have a good welder figure out how to mount it securely for you (this is not hard for a good welder)
