Window help

Okay so I've been trying to remove the ugly half removed tint from the two rear side windows (the ones that wrap around the top edge of the... top with all the little annoying dots), I've come to the conclusion that rather then spending the next month of my life sitting indian style in the back of the runner and hurting my already sore back. To remove the windows and attempt to find replacements. How do I get them out though? Do they just bolt in with little bolts on the inside? Or is the weather seal glued in too? I don't want to break stuff, or end up buying an entire new top.

If I understand, you're trying to remove tint film from some windows and you think replacing the widows would be easier?

Yes that's it exactly. Either that or remove them. hose'em down with some amonia, put em in a bag and stick em out in the sun and let the old tint bake off. I've tried a steamer and a heat gun, and a razor blade, and have had zero success. spent hours and can't even see what I've done.

From looking at mine, it looks like you probably want to pull off the weather seal on the outside (which you'll be replacing anyway, if you're going to put new windows in), and then maybe it's pinned by the little bolts on the inside?

Find one at a pick-n-pull. See if you can get the windows out. If yes, then you know you can do it and have your replacements to boot. If not, no harm no foul, and you know to try something else.

Alternatively, just buy another top. If the fiberglass is rough, paint it. I just noticed you're in Utah too, I've seen 2 offered for free here in SLC in the past year from folks converting their 1st gens to truggies, just keep an eye out.
