There are differences in aftermarket glass manufacturers. Further down that thread he posts the good ones: PPG/PGW, Pilkington, Carlite, FYG are the top aftermarket brands.
Just as important is getting a good installer. Find a good one through referrals or online reviews. I rejected Safelight after reading about numerous installation problems at my local shop. I recently had my windshield replaced with a local independent glass expert. I got OEM glass since my insurance covered it for the same deductible as aftermarket.
The installer said the upright windshield angle is the problem with 4Runners and other SUVs. Properly manufactured glass is all the same hardness. Gorilla glass would probably be better if it was available, but at 2x the cost.
