Thought there might be others out tackling repairs and service in the cooler temps. I started the other day by doing the following:
1) set tire pressures (they were low!)
2) did annual oil/filter change (castrol syntec 10w-40, toyota filter)
3) changed trans fluid
4) flushed brake fluid
5) changed p/s fluid (M1 syn atf)
Gave the truck a good wash and cleaned out the interior(it was time). The restoration bug has hit me, as I've ordered new factory rear mudflaps to install. 20 years of use have taken their toll on the originals. Ordered new front brakes (rotors, pads), front seals, and gaskets to repack the front wheel bearings. Thought it was time after 40-50k. Next year I'll tackle the steering system(pump, inner/outer tie rod ends, idler assembly, etc..). Hope everyone is having a nice Holiday.
