Wireless Headphones for the 03 4Runner

Has anyone gotten these yet? Do they work well? Do I have to use Toyota's? What should I expect to pay?

I hear that they work very well. However, i think the system is compatible with aftermarket headphones as well. For the 4Runner, it is an option, about $230. For the Lexus GX470, it is standard equipment.

Hey Roy,

Those look like the ones I saw when I was playing with the build your own 4Runner on Toyota's web site the other day. I have to talk to my dealer (trying to figure where my new 4Runner is). I'll see if my sales guy can give me any information on the headphones when I talk to him.

As long as you've already got the RSA as part of your audio system, the wireless headphones can be purchased at your local dealer for $50. That's what I was quoted for 'em by Irvine Toyota here in So. Cal.

I bought PT900-00031 from my dealer for $40 (normally $50). It matches the same part number as the one listed in toyparts.net.

They work pretty good. Excellent reception throughout the back seats at any height (kids or adults). They are not supposed to work in the front seats due to the direct line of sight requirement, but I was able to get fairly good reception in the drivers and front passenger seat as long as you look forward and position your seat back a little. They are very comfortable and fit my 7 year old sons head and easily adusts for adults. Each headset has it's own volume and runs on 2 AAA batteries (included). They only thing I could say bad about them is that they lack a little bass. Also, I haven't figured where I will store the 3 that I bought.

I like the headphone capability because I could be driving and listening one of my favorite radio stations w/ the regular car stereo while the kids in the back could be listening to one of their favorite CDs. They've got full control and can turn ON their audio control without interrupting my driving for help.

The frequency response of my Toyota headphones is: 45-15,000 Hz.

Thank you for your answer but the range 45-15hz is the frenquecy who the human can undestand. I want to know the frenquency receive by the headphone. Between transmitter and receiver (headphone).

(normally it write on little sticker on the headphone)
