Wiring diagram request; 97 engine bay fuse panel

I have the plagued dome light fuse shorting out problem. Seen a handful of these issues over the years from forum searches. My new truck is doing it, and even my friend with his fancy ASE certified software program, alldata or whatever it's called, cannot pull up the Toyota diagram for this.

1997, base model 4wd, 2.7 is the model and options. Manual trans.

We need the schematic for the engine bay fuse panel. Does anyone have this? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks

I'm not sure what you are looking for, the Toyota EWD doesn't break it out that way. Here is the pages with the fuse block for the later (99-02) Fuse block. See page 3.

The '97 is a little different because of what they call the "Integration Relay". But that is as much info as exists. No source I'm aware of will have more. You asked for the engine bay fuse panel, and the DOME fuse is located there, but all the wiring and controls are in the aux fuse box by driver's knee, including the "Integration relay"which is where the brains are. Both are covered in this document.

Thank you. We have tested the integration relay deal and it is outside wherever my short exists. I'm just trying to gather as much info as possible to help our search next weekend. He said he was missing the fuse panel diagram and that was what we needed.

I'll save those documents and hope for the best. Electrical isn't my strong suite, so hopefully it isn't too difficult to track this down.

I am on record as dissing internet guesses, but I'll make one here. The DOME circuit from the engine bay to the aux. box is a straight shot. Little likelihood of a short. However, DOME is a popular circuit to tap for full-time power for aftermarket crap like alarms and sound systems. These are very frequent culprits for these kinds of problem as taps are often poorly done. So I suggest you keep a sharp eye out for any aftermarket circuitry in between the two fuse boxes that could be your issue.

Noted. I did just disconnect a factory alarm box from under the seat. It also has an aftermarket dual din deck, I am wiring up a whole new system which is what led me to discover this fuse was blown. I'll get it sorted, as I said my minimal electric knowledge is the roadblock. It will be in better hands this coming weekend.

I might make a build thread, who knows. Haven't driven the truck yet, but I'm building it completely before I even drive it. Gonna come together quickly after this week.
