Wiring harness/Relay kits:Does any brand work RE: cheap to $$ Ditch Lights?

Does the wiring harness "brand" really matter when choosing a ditch light?

If I use a brand that is paired with cheapo $12-25 ditch lights, and then later decide to upgrade to something like a Baja or Rigid ditch light, will it cause an issue?

Back in the day monster cable made a fortune on marketing to folks who thought their cables made a noticeable difference, but in this real world case we are talking high heat, voltage, watt matching, relays, and exposure to the elements. Makes my head spin. (Baja design has 8 harnesses listed!)

The kit i bought was only $8 and has a max working current of 15A (180 Watts). But the baja designs light only runs. 20 Watts/1.4 Amps....so in thoery its not an issue.

if you can read how relay works, you can create your own relay harness, 14 gauge wire will be enough. usually a 20 amp main fuse is enough.

if you want a simple harness, just spend the 35-40 for the standard 9006 harness you get from lightwerkz or theretrofitsource. im still using there relay harness for my hid setup and have never failed. the lighted up relay which is from 2008 or 09 era.
