Wiring light bar to on-off-on switch questions

I searched around and got kind of confused so here's the deal..
I want to wire my light bar to an on-off-on switch so when switched one way it will come on with the high beams and when switched the other way will come on alone. My questions are first do I need an SPDT or a DPDT switch (a wiring diagram either way would be awesome)
If I understand right I want to splice the high beam wire before the fuse box and run it to the switch then run the switch to a relay. Help would be awesome!

You need a double pole double throw switch.
