WIX Oil Filter

I just bought one to use in my ride, but haven't installed it yet. I have read they are good, but does anyone have an opinion? Will it last 10K miles like my oil change interval?

I may just go buy an OEM filter at the dealership, and save the WIX for an emergency. I appreciate the input.

A NAPA store opened about three miles from my house about the time I got my license in 1969. Since then, I have used their WIX filters in all my vehicles and my tractor. I have never lost an engine or had any problem that cast doubt on lubrication. There is 40 years experience on the tractor (1966 Farmall 140), 226K and 30 years on a 1974 Mercedes 230, 260K and 20 years on a 1985 BMW 735i, plus several others including my 4Runner. That said, I would never run an engine 10K OCI. 7.5K is my limit on full syn.

I love Wix filters for all my different vehicles. After working in the auto parts industry for a few years and researching the "behind the scenes" of all the different filter producers I trust Wix for all my filters!

The napa/wix filters for the v6 are too small to adequately filter in my opinion. They're pretty small. Not sure what the V8 filter is like.

I have always used wix in all of my vehicles as well with very good results. I believe the napa gold filter is a rebranded wix filter and around here they are priced higher than the wix filter. I usually find the best price at my local oriely.
