Finally got around to coating my Whitson Metalworks rack and mounting it and my light bar. Done for the night, I'll finish and take pics tomorrow.

What did you go with for a brand of light bar? I went with a group buy and forum member over on Tacomaworld who owns a company and have been satisfied, just seeing what you did for yours?

Its a cheap one off Amazon. I paid about $80. Seller is "Adrenalin Offroad". For me (and most, I think) this is more of a novelty item than a necessity. If I relied on it for whatever reason then I'd probably buy a "name brand". I figure either way of this one lasts a year I can replace it more than 10 times and it would still be cheaper than an expensive one. It's bright as hell. It was heavy and felt solid. I opened it up, siliconed all around, sealed it and mounted it. I'm happy.

Rustoleum truck bed liner. I used about 6 cans total. Its a textured finish and almost matches my bumper exactly. You lose a lot because its not a flat solid surface.

I just picked mine up from josh last night and I have be contemplating getting it powder coated or doing it myself. About how many coats did the 6 cans give you? What was you process? Did you have to clean the metal first? Sorry for all the question [emoji53]

I scrubbed it with a Scotch Brite pad and cleaned it with acetone afterwards. I probably got about 3 coats with the 6 cans.
