i could of swore i read thread after thread that 285/75/16s would fit nicely with the toytech ome 3inch lift.. i have a 99 limited so maybe thats the problem but it rubbed bad on the bumber side flare had to take that off and then still shave some of the bumber off... wtf!!!!:bash::gun6:

Different backspacing ofthe wheels will cause it to rub!
yea that might be it i got mickey thompson classic IIs with 3 5/8 inch backspacing.. i hear alot of people runing 4inch bs ... that little bit will cause the rub than? :thanks::guitar3:

Have you done the pinch weld mod yet? That might be alot of the problem is your offset! You might have to do some trimming.
not sure what the pinch weld mod is but i did some trimming on the lower corners of the bumber and took that bottom flare on the bumber off which actually looks pretty sweet with that off.. anyway im happy with the wheels and tires jus surprised when i pulled out after puttin them on and hearing "crunch..crunch" lol... :artist2:

I'm running wheels with 4" backspacing and I had the same problem.. I had to cut a chunk out of the front lower corner of the bumper on both sides.
The smaller the backspacing, the farther out your wheels/tires will sit, and the farther out they sit, the larger the arc they travel in when you turn the steering wheel. Your tires are sitting about an 1" further outboard than stock (assuming you have 7" wide wheels, if you have 8" wide wheels then they're 2" farther out, and so on). Add to that you've gained 2" +/- in overall diameter and you've got a much bigger space that the tire is travelling in while turning.
2 solutions... trim the bumper, pound the pinch weld.... or get a body lift.
yup trimmed the same area as u and i def am happier with the wider stance with a little trimming than not as wide for me anyway

Rubbing on your bumper has nothing to do with your pinch weld......the pinch weld is in the rear most part of your wheel well that needs to be hammered flat if you rub there.

I'm runnig the same lift and GG AT2 285/75/16 and only rub on the frame on a full lock. I have yet to hit the bumper or body. I went out and bought 1/4" spacers and so far they helped, and now I barely rub at all.

Which tires are you actually running. Seems different brands varry on actual measurements on the rim event though they say 285/75/16.
Example - Mikey Thompson ATZ's at 285/75/16 = 32.8 x 11.3
Goodyear DuraT's are 32.8 x 11.3
BFG AT K/O's and MT KM2's are 33.1 x 11.3 (a bit wider)
Also I'm a bit confused by the threat title vs post - are you running 285/75/16's or 285/17s? Title says 17 but you mention posts about 285/75/16's in your first post but don't say what size you actually have.

yea i goofed on the title im running 285/75/16 duratracs on a mickey thompson classic wheel 16x8 with 3 5/8 inch bs
