Hey fellas so recently ive been noticing that my car wants to pull one way, be fine, but then pull the other way constantly mostly on the highway ive noticed it... plus its been having really bad vibration and wheel shaking at highway speeds..

so i got wheels balanced and alignment at les schwab and i just drove over I-90 back home for spring break and of course the alignment still feels off and wheel still is shakey with vibrations, not nearly as bad, but still really annoying.

i took it back to les schwab and they said the alignment numbers are still where they need to be and theres not anything else they can find wrong with the car... the guy said the best possiblity to explain the shaking and not driving straight is the wheel spacers.

does that make any sense? if the spacers are on tight and torqued to the right specs (which they are) then i dont understand how that would cause these things...

can anybody help? is there something im missing?

edit: The best suggestion they had was to buy new rims

The lower control arm bolt is some what strange in the 4runnres. The oval shaped adjuster washer (that moves the lower arm side ways) and the nut is all in 1 piece.

Most tech's will try to lose it and it won't come lose. They should try to loosen the bolt first. I went to 2 Firestone stores and they both tried to adjust the lower control arm and said it is rusted so no camber/castor (don't know which) adjustments. I then went under and took my tools and showed them how to do it.

Perhaps the techs at the shop you went didn't do that.

maybe somehow my wheels are off camber... wouldnt they have noticed that or checked that in the first place?

When my inner tie rods were bad the alignment stayed within spec, but when I would be over 55mph or hitting the brakes hard it would pull and sway from side to side. My tie rod ends being bad didn't help this either

that sounds almost identical to whats going on, ill have to check that out thanks

How is it under braking? Under light braking mine was fine but 40 mph or more and stomp on the brakes and it would just jog to one side with nothing you could do. It was less of a pull and more of just magically darting to one side it was terrifying. Took me a while to figure out what it was, actually i Just replaced all the suspension and got to the tie rods and it went away completely after that.

A bot or a foreign hacker. Don't open the link.

What is this it Needs ADMINISTRATOR Review :target::target::target:

It's either a bot or a some foreign hacker, reported it earlier. Hopefully I.T guys can disable it before some ones opens the provided link and gets hacked or malware.

Yeah its getting really annoying that the bot or whatever is digging up some old posts and posting his sketchy links. I've made like 5 reports starting from when he has 10 posts, not its almost 100. The name has also changed from Matthew to Wyatt, and now its Noah.

What about lower control arm bushings?

Does your rig slowly turn the wheel either way when you are moving forward say at like 3 mph?
