I am not happy this morning. :upset: My 4Runner would not start.
It was -17F this morning. Cold, sure, but not that cold, and not unusual for around here.
I do not have a block heater. My Explorer had one but never needed it. My wife's Civic also does not have one and fired right up this morning. I know I should have one but don't always have a place to plug it in, so it's important it will start when it's cold.
To say the least, I'm not too pleased. One of the main reasons I bought my 4Runner is because my Explorer was not reliable.
I'm hoping a new set of plugs and a tune-up will help, but since it's running fine otherwise, I doubt that will do much. The battery was very strong and had no trouble cranking, and it cranked and cranked till it was flooded beyond hope. It just would not fire.
It cost me $50 for a tow to a warm garage. For all the problems my Explorer had, it never needed a tow or left me stranded.
