Won't start

Okay guys this is a emergency my 4runner will not start. I put a new radio in and put it all back together then turn key on and I have nothing I mean nothing no lights on dash no attempt to even start I checked ALL the fuses on inside and ALL FUSES in engine bay all of them in good shape went threw made sure everything was plugged in and working and still nothing I am at my wits End someone please help thanks

Check and see if the battery is connected properly. Sounds like something coming from the main power source if you're getting absolutely no power...
 
There are several things going through the radio that have nothing to do with the sound system. Every wire must be connected correctly. It is highly advised that a correct wiring harness be used to match up the radio with the 4runner. I bet if you put the old radio back in exactly how it was it would start right up.
 
Okay well I am getting some power like when I turn key to "on" position tue radio comes on the fan will blow out air the " door open" light on dash comes on and the door open key in ignition bell , dings but nothing when I turn to start it nothing at all no noise or anything I went over wiring a dozen times and also when I unplug radio and everything it still doesn't work ? So I am not sure
 
You have a portable power/jumpstarter? maybe coincidence, your battery is super weak.

or bring the batt to auto parts store for a free test. :)
 
I left battery on charger for like 2 hours went back nothing tried jumping it and nothing so I'm gonna leave battery undone over night try again who knows might work
 
What's your mileage? And are you still running off the original battery when you bought it? I had to replace the battery in mine at around 120,000 miles when mine wouldn't start at all. Did you also try putting the original radio and connections back together? Did you add anything to the radio that required wire stripping (brake bypass control) Worst case scenario call AAA if you are a member or get it towed to a repair shop. Hopefully it's just the battery and nothing too costly. Sorry about your runner :(
 
My mileage is 100,xxx and battery was working fine before and during like to test radio I turned 4runner on and it started right up and no havent had time to try stock radio I will try it tomorrow. No stripping of any wires other than the ones on wiring harness and the harness coming out of radio. So I have no clue. Unfortunately not a member of AAA. But I will update tomorrow after trying the stock radio.

Hmmm, definitely keep us posted on this. It's most likely the battery though, esp if you put the stock radio back in and it still doesn't work.
 
Well guys thanks for suggestions but it got towed away last night I put everything stock back in it and nothing ! Still not starting but ill write up when Toyota figures out what is going on with it
 
I would guess that it has something to do with the Anti-theft device in the car... or that a wire was cut or shorted out. Let us know when you hear back!
