wood dash trim help

I have a 98 limited anthracite runner and have the interior wood trim. But my trim is only around my radio and HVAC controls and on the doors around the window buttons. I have seen other limited runners with wood trim around the gauges and shifter. Heres some pics of my interior. the first two are mine and the third is a runner i was looking at on autotrader. I also found an anthracite metallic runner on there that also had the same trim pieces as mine. So whats the reason mine is not fully wood? Is it a 99+ thing? And also if i somehow find these wood pieces will they fit in mine?

My 2000 SR5 is not a limited but has the extended wood so it must have been an option as well. I'd recommend doing a search through the site to see if someone wants to trade out as I recall a number of posts from people who wanted to get rid of their wood trim

i had the fake wood like this...

what i found is that the wood trim is glued on and can be removed so if you can find it in a junk yard or something it should fit.

Looky here its a zombie..... way to resurrect a dead thread.:rip:
All jokes aside, I do really like the carbon fiber over the wood look for sure. Wood trim looks dated to me unless its in a really expensive and extravagant car.

In my 97, I have the OEM wood trim around the shifter area as well. I was planning to get a wood trim around the instrument cluster from a 99+ and the shape at the right most-end near the fuel gauge unit is different from 96-98 trims. So 99+ wood trims won't fit your 98.

haha, did not even see that :yo:

I have specific kits for all years. Check the site. Factory matched for limited models, and all the pieces you'd want to add to what you have.

ALso, here's a close-up of the carbon, which is a 2x2 weave, which looks awesome. Most are 1x1 and don't look as 3d.
