Wood Trim

Has anyone ever replaced their stock wood trim? Mine is fading and peeling up and cracking in certain areas and I was looking to just completely replace it. I was wondering how anyone went about doing it? Method of prying it off, solvent they used to get rid of any adhesive left over or anything like that. Also, I have found a few sites that sell replacement wood trim for the 4Runner, but was wondering if anyone would suggest a certain website/company? Thank you.

i have thought about doing the same with mine, all mine trim is black and i would like to replace it with wood trim, they have kits on ebay but idk how good they actually are, doesnt seem like it would be to hard to replace though, just hard to find a good quality seller good luck

Ya I agree, if I can find the website I was looking at again, I'll post it. It seemed like a good site and they had different choices for wood and what not.

What year is your truck? This subject has been pretty well covered in the past, I will try and help you out with a search.

Check out Burtman Industries located on the right of this page under "T4R Sponsors." His stuff is not the cheapest, but it's very good stuff, and since he is a user here it's pretty easy to get a hold of him.
