Woot! I just got Revo'd!!!!

Yippee! Just had the Revo's installed. Amazing!!!! What a huge improvement in all the categorys compared to the stock Dunflops GrandAss AT20s! It rides smoother, it corners sooooooo much better - it's a lot flatter with no roll-over, and the turn-in is now more precise feeling. It tracks going down the highway a looooooooooooooooot better! I was always having to make constant corrections to keep her straight, and now.... it's night & day really. Noise-wise, it's amazing how quite they are for such an open tread tire design. The fellows at Bridgestone really did their homework with this design. It's a wee-bit louder than the Dunflops, and you only really hear this slight increase in loudness around 30-45. After that it is the wind noise the dominate the 4-Runner. At 75 mph, you can't really tell that the tire is any louder. But boy, it sure drives like a new tire. Toyota should have put these tires on from the factory - it makes the4-Runner drive THAT much better! Very happy camper here folks - yes, they will cost me $700 (after the rebate) all said and done, but they are worth it.

(By the way - what is the yellow dot for? I hope they aren't filled with nitrogen... that would suck.)

Just Google'd the yellow spot - found out it is the heavy spot on the tire, and is where the tire should be orientated such that the yellow spot lines up with the valve. Cool. Didn't know this, and figured I'd post it in case someone else could learn from it as well.

I think it would make more sense if the yellow dot represents a light spot. You would certainly want a heavy spot opposite of the valve stem?

Perhaps I didn't best phrase what I read online. It's a system that exist which let's the installers know where to line up the valve. How it exactly indicates a heavy spot or light spot where a heavy spot should be aligned, I'm not entirely sure.

I got my revos black side out so that's not a problem..

Very nice. I didn't notice the dot either but then I had the black side out. Also, I had them mount the weights on the inside of the rim - just preference.

I have had mine for about 10,000 miles and really do like them. Congrats.
