Working the oil harder ?

Do you guys think I should change my oil and filter more often in the summer if im towing my camper? I do change it every 6K running synthetic.

No, but that is without knowing the specifics of what you are towing and where. If you are towing a trailer that is near the max capacity and you are spending most of the time in the southwest, 100+ degrees, maybe.
Granted I am not a chemical engineer, but from my experience I see way too much obsession with fluid changing. Check it, see how it looks. If it doesn't look bad press on.
I think synthetic should be good for at least 7k.
Just my opinion and I am not trying to rant or lecture.
Hope the camping goes well. I am hoping to pick up a camper within the next year or two.

I used to change every 2500-3000 on my domestic vehicles , BUT on the Toyota I have changed every 5k like instructed by Toyota . I also run the standard oil and not synthetic.

I put a trans cooler on this year before towing the new camper and it's a good size cooler.

changing the filter can extend service intervals by as much as two times.

though running syn oils to 7K even under the most extreme duties should be ok.

If you are concerned, try swapping over to something with a larger more robust additive package.

Im currently running Castrol 0W-30 which runs a bit thick for a 30wt oil but will EASILY run 10 and probably closer to 20K with no issues with only filter changes.

With 6K miles on the oil, send a sample to Blackstone for an analysis to see how much more you can safely go. The 4.7 is gentle on oil and I would think you could still get a year out of the oil, but why guess. Send out a sample.
