Ok a little background June 3rd had rack & pinion replaced along with front brake pads and sway links. Then the next day was rearended and among other things that were damaged we had a horrible rattle noise to the point where only thing we could narrow down was its underneath. go figure silent with all 4 wheels spinning in the air wheel turned side to side etc. but every dam time we made a left turn it sounded like we had 5 heatshields dragging on the ground then got to where it was doing it any time except a right turn. Well today I found it and feel like a complete moron. The rear gas tank strap broke and was allowing the upper piece to hit drive shaft and other end bouncing around above tank shield.
now for the fun part running out of savings so paying for this to be replaced is off the table. BUT have double shoulder surgery ahead of me so will be a challenge. Can the rear strap be replaced without dropping the shield or am I going to be stuck having to pay somebody else while I walk them through the proccess in order to avoid further damage?
