Worth Going from 4Runner to Highlander? 7 Passenger

Hello,

Currently have a 2018 4Runner, 7 Pass. 3 Kids with 1 on the way. Love the 4Runner no complaints. But now wondering if a 2018 Highlander would be more suitable? The only reason I would switch would be if there was a noticable difference in space. The comfort, milage... all bonuses but not determining factors.

Wondering if anyone here has went from a 4Runner to a Highlander and actually noticed the difference in seating, I am looking at the captain seat model, just based on video, it seems like the Highlander is still a tight 7 passenger vehicle like the 4Runner.

Any opinions?

Yeah, I think a highlander would be a bit too small for a family with four children. My neighbors across the street have two kids and their Highlander (it's a 2021, I think) looks cramped.

4 kids puts you in minivan territory. Rent one for the weekend.

Don't really think that going to a Highlander would be that much difference over all. There are many other vehicles out there that would have more room, but would they have the value and quality of a Toyota, or Honda in the long run. Something like a Honda Odessey, or a Toyota Sienna would be a better choice, but finding one will not be easy, neither are the 4 Runners, or Highlanders when looking for a nice used vehicle. Since you have an excellent vehicle at this time and it does work, spending more dollars may not be the answer just for a little more space. My son made it with a Lexus 470 (3 row seating) and three kids, they still have the Lexus and the kids just all graduated from high school, go figure.

Mom and dad put us 4 boys (Ages 2 to 11) and grandma in the middle up front with them in the '56 Chevy. We were a close family. :thumb:
