Nice looking truck, buddy of mine in high school had a 79 351 small block long bed. I've never been a Ford guy, but I loved those late 70's F150's.

Yeah it's a really great deal and it's one of the nicest ones I've seen!

I owned one of those - bought new in 1979.

It was fairly well built compared to what else was available at the time, but nothing ran right in the 70's and that truck was no exception. The 351 was a dog of an engine to begin with and the smog device setup was nearly impossible to keep working correctly. Maybe the 49 state versions were better.

Fun though - went anywhere I wanted to go and towed the trailer in too.

I would ask if it is a Cleveland or a Windsor engine though I'd be willing to bet the former. Count the number of valve cover bolts (the Cleve has 8) to be sure.

A 460 in that thing would be fun. I think I saw one in a 78 at a car show some time ago. Maybe it was a 390 though....
