Would anyone buy this cement grey

Typically lenders will only lend up to 50% of clean retail value on a salvage title. For that reason alone - I would always discount a salvage title by about the same amount. Because you'll want to sell it some day. And the buyer is going to do the same thing.

What's nuts is that I've tried to buy a couple at auction, and the last one I tried to buy was a base trail and it sold for almost $33k. But it only needed minor repairs and was a theft recovery. Even so - salvage title. I broke my own guideline and bid it up to about $25k.

Even so - repairs are never the same as original. No matter how good they are. And it'll have no warranty.

I wouldn't buy it, that price is wayyyy to high! No way Toyota will give you a warranty on the truck and if they do, it might be a 30 day warranty. Also, some insurance company's will not insure vehicles with a salvage title.

Not sure if this is true but I read somewhere that many insurance companies will not insure a salvage titled vehicle. Just run from it - you may not ever know if the people fixing it -fixed everything or not.

I'd consider buying it if 1) You have it inspected by a trusted mechanic that gives it a clean bill of health 2) If the seller comes wayyyyy down off that asking price (like half of what they're currently asking) 3) You plan on keeping it for 10+ years and won't be relying on getting a good trade-in value on a vehicle with a salvage title.

Guarantee they’ll find a sucker to buy it. I was looking through Carmax and they had a ‘16 Pro with around 15k on it and they wanted almost $48k for it, I’m sure some dumbass bought it.

$38,000, lol, those people are crazy asking for that, and who ever buys it at that price or anything near it, is crazier.

I can't believe this is a legitimate question. That truck was messed up and who knows what else is hidden behind the repairs
