Would like 06+ headlights on my 05'

The search function is not my friend so please excuse my impatience.

My wife had a temporary brain fart and tapped the gas instead of the brakes when pulling into a parking spot. Unfortunately there was a concrete retaining wall in front of her rather than a parking block.

Anyhow, I would like to replace her headlights with the 06+ projectors and am looking for some info on what pieces I will need?

I know I will need the small metal pieces under the headlights and grille from the 06+ Along with different wiring harnesses.

Can I still use a 05' bumper cover or will I need to upgrade that as well?

Anything I may need to know?

the grille will need to be trimmed, scroll to bottom. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/154032-2006-grill-fitment-om-2003-2005-a.html unless you can afford it living with the 05 grille, bumper, & gap with the 06 headlights costs less & isnt really too bad.on a side note, im guessing you dont like the angel eye headlights for the 05, that would be a bit cheaper, easier & be used with or without HIDS- 03-06 Toyota 4Runner Dual Halo Projector Headlights Headlamps this thread lists whats needed & prices for 05 to 06 swap- http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/15459-projector-head-lamps.html

Maybe google '06 retrofit ?

Basically you'll need the trim filler panels ($30/side already painted) and if you want the blinkers to work you'll need wiring harnesses for $30/side. The '05 bumper cover fits fine but there is a small triangular gap between the bottom of the grille and the bottom of the lamps and filler plates.

I personally recommend looking for good used OEM lamps on eBay but aftermarket brands will suffice.

edit- didn't see the part about the grille, the grille with require trimming of the bumper and/or grille as the '06 grille is taller. The lights alone will work with the '03 grille though.
