Fox news tonight featured the 4runner: it's the most popular to steal the cat. converter from since it sits high. 10 stolen from those parked at BWI airport the past week or two.

I hate the goofy a/c controls on mine (what's wrong with a couple/three normal rotating knobs?)and the default tendency of it to cut power to keep you out of a skid. It over does the power cut thing (on wet road).

Windshield get's tiny permanent sparkles faster than any other car I've ever had. Maybe it's the hydro coating ?

Headroom (w/sunroof option) could be an inch or two more.

otherwise everything else is great

I got mine for that price, 2 yrs ago, but mine is an 04. I got mine with 38k on the clock.

pluses - 5spd transmission, 4wd, in dash nav, sport hood (for some) JBL audio (for some).

Negative - for all we know, it has 4 million miles. Doesn't give you much info at all, like if its 4wd or v6 or v8.

20.5 I don't think is a bad deal, assuming it has low miles, but I might try to go lower.

price is way too high IMHO. I paid under 20k for my 2006 Sport Edition last year and it has pretty much every upgrade. see if you can knock that price down a couple thousand. looks like a good buy otherwise.

8/2008 I paid 17,000ish for 2005 sport V8 4wd with 67,000 (but without NAV) - Toyota certified used car. Sounds a bit high.

I don't like it when sellers don't tell you much. Like how many miles, is it 2WD or 4WD and V6 or V8? But, it does have a roof rack.:gun6:

No way for that price.

In Sept. '07 I bought a 2006 Sport, V8, flawless, 17k miles, added custom 2-tone leather interior, and still got it for under $20k out the door. (We got a great deal)

My wife recently wrecked that one.

We just picked up a '06 Limited, V8, 4x4, flawless, 27k miles, loaded, out the door for $26.5k

Good stuff guys, keep it coming......

The car is 4WD and has 55,000 miles on it.. I should have elaborated.

Not sure if its a V6 or V8 yet, but what would you pay for it knowing the above??????

Unless the badge was taken off of the front and the rear of the runner.... it's a V6. And yes, 20.5k for a 5 year old runner is a lot!

There are 2 runners, an 06 and an 08 for less money and less mileage. I would either talk them down or keep looking. IMO, paying over 20k for a 5 year old vehicle is insane. As soon as you buy it and it turns 5 exactly the value will drop more and you'll be upside down like a mofo.

it is a V6, and with mileage in the 50k's then that runner should not be priced that high. especially because it is 5 years old now that the 2010s are out. Great looking runner, just too pricey.

Everyone I know always posts a higher price than they think they can get, because everyone haggles for a lower price.

As others have said, get that guy to come down on his price. It's 5 years old and 20k is to much imho.

I think prices depend on your location. In the DC metro area, you will never see a 2005 SR5 and SE with 55K under $20K... Definitely not Limited. So, you should do Edmunds, KBB, etc. for your area (zip codes) and compare numbers.

I think that is way high my local dealer has several 07's and 08's for that price plus if he plans on lifting it the sport requires the removal of xreas
