Well the day Texas becomes its own nation I'll apologize and admit I was wrong...but I won't hold my breath. I still feel that texans blind pride for their state is a bit arrogant, one of my best friends hails from Austin and when I first met him all he talked about was how amazing Texas was and all that. I actually believed him that Texas was where I needed to be so I went there. It sucked and I have no desire to ever go back.

I'm pretty sure the day texas suceeds from the union, mexico will try to retake the allimo where will danial boon be then lol... and the united states doesnt involve themselfs in "foreign affairs" that dont jeapordize the national security. so if texas does deside to go through with it then good luck!

You think it's just coincidence that New England states are in the top half and the bottom half is littered with states that used to fly the confederate flag. Once you get over yourselves maybe you can catch up to the rest of us. Good Luck.

Nothing blind to do with it bud, like I said there are many reasons why Texas wanted to secceed, and there are many reasons why I love Texas, aside from pride. It is a beautiful state, and has a lot of scenary, as well as culture. I apologize for your bad experience, as you should have been better, atleast visiting wise. Texas isn't for everyone, and I'm not mad that you don't want to live here. But just because I have pride for my state, doesn't mean I am arrogent or ignorant. It just means that I love my home and my way of life. I'm country, and you'll always see me in my boots and hat, and will always work hard. I'd sport the bars and stars for that reason, not slavery or anything of that sort. I'll always sport my Texas and American flag as well.

I've visited many states and I have to say I agree with most of that list. Although being born and raised in Florida I think it should have been lower on the list. Lots of dumb dumbs

texas does suck, lol , got plenty of family there, i barely go and seem them just due to being in texas......i think all of the pride comes from being stuck somewhere ****ty together, it makes you kind of bond, like being in a Tijuana prison with a close bud, the only people who will ever understand is you two....same with texans the only ones who understand are from texas...

Lol @ flash. But seriously, I'm not going to be offended by you not liking Texas, as you have your own view. But Texas isn't a ****ty place that you type it out to be. I don't love this place because I was born here, I love it for the beautiful country-side that we have, and the people that I know who work hard every day to make a living on their farms and ranches, or even in their city jobs. We have culture, and history like any other place. I admit that I'd like to live in San Diego for the scenary and weather, but I'll never take it over my home here. It's not because I was born here, or that we are a bunch.of stupid middle school dropouts living it up as a big redneck family in a rundown trailer home, because we are far from it izzard.

Ok Priest - that is well said and should be respected, at least in my opinion. It has been easy over the years to stereotype Texans, but your sentiments seem legit and I respect them. Coming from the West and a very liberal, often stereotyped county, I will take a page from you about just sayin, "Hey, I love where I live, you don't have to, nor do I ask you to. We love our home like any of you love yours." Peace brudda.

I would I'm putting a flag mount and flying a 4x5 flag behind my 95 4runner. I'm considering doing a rebel flag and an american flag. It's a southern pride thing for me, not meaning any sort of racism at all.
