Wow, I can wash my 4Runner

In the paper today they announced easing of water restrictions here in Alanta. For the last 4 years we have been in a drought. It was a level 4 drought. No outside watering and no washing cars.

So what did people do in the Atlanta area, well we could take the car to a car wash, they would re-cycle the water. But, there are times to just need to wash your car. So, this may not be a big deal to most of you, but this weekend, I plan on washing and waxing both 4Runners.

Oh boy, I can't wait.

Seriously? You definitely need to handwash at least once in a while. Car washes never do the job in full either because of automation or time limits. Hope you remember the labor involved!

Last year we were suppose to close all the swimming pools. The Gov. made a decision to leave them open if we still can reduce the water usage by 10%. Well, it turns out people were using 15% less water. We took it seriously. A lot of stores selling flowers and trees went out of business and our lawns pretty much died off, but we learned to live with it.

I couldn't even clean the inside of the engine bay, as that took a little water. Now I can even pressure wash. My driveway hasn't been washed in about 6 years. Oh the reason we can now do some things, (odd or even days) is because it has rained (a lot) for the last 3 months and it will rain tonight and tomorrow.

over here in socal we are just starting up with water restrictions... should be interesting, it doesn't effect me at all really but I bet a lot of people with homes are not gonna take it very seriously, at least until the gov really starts cracking the whip...

we've been getting poured on so that means no restrictions here thank goodness cause i wash my car about once a week and ill wax her this weekend too. i try to wax twice a year once before once after winter. i just feel better with a clean car rolling down the street. ive got it down to a science now and never miss a spot
