Never thought I would use it but the extended warranty came in handy... TWICE recently.
First time, last month, a new water pump. OK... that was approximately six hundred bucks.
Second, rear window defroster... stopped working. Actually, it never worked really good from day-one but I just let it go... until I got caught in a tough spring storm and decided to get it checked out.
The window defroster was an expensive fix. Approx another six hundred and fifty (trying to make sense of the warranty claim) for the labor and who knows how much for the expensive rear window/sliding glass?
I've got another six months left on the extended warranty.
The big repairs on the 4Runner are VERY expensive from what I'm reading on the forum and I hope things remain somewhat mellow on my 4Runner from now on, especially after the warranty expires. :cheers:
