could not get out because i have a long and steep drive way. no one in our tiny kommunity could make it out.

Yup I went around to get some stuff at Home Depot and 4Runner handled very well (even with the Dunlops). The neighborhood streets haven't been plowed yet and anytime things go squirelly like during a turn, the 4Runner kept it in line.

Yeah, I've been having fun driving in 14 inches of snow. I just got an 06 SR5 2 weeks ago, and I coudln't be happier..

about 24" here in southern CT. I was actually a little worried backing out of the driveway, because the snow level was above the exhaust, but since it's a light dry snow I barreled through it in 4H without issue. It held up well on the unplowed roads as well. A little slippery, but I just have the stock tires on. It held up as well as my old Audi w/quattro and 4 snow tires.

Your picture is great. Here in Georgia we had a small snow flurry this morning on to quit. No snow at all on the ground. Here in Atlanta we have not had snow stick to the ground in years.

Just got back from a great time in the snow! 20+ inches or so on the uniproved, plowed roads! Great time, too bad I forgot the camera!

Here's a pic of my 06 SR5 and my wife's 06 Camry before I shoveled... :)

No need to shovel the 4Runner out of the spot. Just brush it off and throw it into reverse! :D

Exactly what I did... her car, I had to shovel out.. man I'm sore!

I just noticed in your picture, is that another 4Runner in the top right corner? It kind of looks like it has the sport bumper installed on it.

Looked about the same where I am in VA too. We had about 14" in my area and I was out this morning before dawn. Most of the neighborhoods I went through (including my own) were untouched by plows and had no more than one or two tracks through them.

This is my first real snow with the 4R and it did fantastic. Never had a problem getting around, even when the snow drifts were coming up over the hood. I was able to come to a dead stop in 14" of virgin snow on an up-hill slope and start again with no problems at all. The VTRAC only came on once or twice and that was when I was turning a corner from one street into another and gave it a bit of gas to see how far around I could get the backend before the electronic nanny kicked in.

All in all, it was great fun.

:D
