Fortunately, I didn't need to do any paint correction before the wrap. I rented a barcelona red 4runner while this was in the shop and I the color grew on me!

You will be happy with the clear bra. No one notices until up close and sometime they see a line where it ends. I think the end to pin striping is to put the clear bra over the entire car. Next vehicle...

Congrats OP, I couldn't buy my 4Runner back in 2017 so I missed out on the cement and I'd get it wrapped cement myself until I saw this color. Hope I can pull the trigger on this wrap color soon but I'll keep enjoying my nautical blue in the meantime

Not well. Ceramic is microns thick -it's meant to prevent against micros-swirls and more to help defend against contaminants. Ceramic coatings won't fair well against larger, dull, sharp, and hard objects like branches that have a fair bit of pressure against them.

Vinyl doesn't do shit all either unless you have ppf on it. I vinyled the front of my bumper matte black with no ppf and within 2 days of city driving, pebbles had chipped away dozens of marks at the vinyl. So there were dozens of white speckles where the vinyl had chipped away from the tiny pebbles. So it's very brittle. You need PPF on top of vinyl if you want to protect the vinyl.

PPF = paint protection film e.g. clear 3M people put on their cars to protect against paint imperfections.

PPF can protect against a good bit of pin striping, but it really all depends how hard you apply pressure to it. e.g. PPF can't protect against a knife (stupid example) so something sharp and hard can pierce PPF. Place enough pressure on PPF with something dull and you can tear it.

PPF obviously protects against rock chips depending on the thickness but even then, I can see spots on the PPF where the rocks have hit and the rocks have stretched the PPF. It's self healing so I'm sure I could take a heat gun to it and make it smooth again, but the point is that PPF can protect against pin striping just like rock chips, but there's a point re: pressure and sharpness where the PPF can only do so much.

So, if you're going to vinyl your entire vehicle, that'll cost a fair number of beans, but the cost will more than double if you add PPF to it since PPF is a lot more expensive than vinyl.

I haven’t seen the Porsche color in person, but based on pictures I’d say It’s similar in color which might be why “chalk” is in the name. I didn’t use any filters unless iPhone camera applies something. Depending on the lighting it looks very gray or light gray. Definitely lighter than cement.

Has the same "chalky" matte look to it but is more on the gray side than the beige Porsche color.

Looks awesome.

Incidentally, Porsche also makes a Voodoo Blue.
