Finally got around to installing my amp under the drivers seat. It is really easy. Took some pictures of the install to help anyone that may need the reference in the future.

1) Remove the seat: Basically four bolts and a couple of wire plugs that are connected to the seat.

2) Remove the air vent: The is really easy give it a firm pull and it will come right out.

3) Securing amp: I used wood joiners to hold the amp down. They work really well. I used 3M tape to secure them to the amp.

4) Running wire: I ran all the wiring through an opening already in the wire canal, everything fit perfect. I pulled the wires up from an opening already there for the seat wires.

That's it, bolt the seat back on and your ready to go. I have a Kicker ZX400.1 powering a Kicker 8" S8L7 sounds great and it fits perfect. I have about an inch between the seat and the amp.

No I didn't use anything yet. I wasn't sure if it would be that big of a deal. I was going to use tape but it wouldn't stick. I was thinking of maybe just putting some plywood or something like that. Any suggestions? Thanks

IMO and not the best one but get some duct tape and seal it off. Simple and done.

If i was to do same thing i would just tape it off and not worry about it.

I haven't taped up the Ducting and I've been fine for the past 2+ years. Even in the winter when I'm blasting the heat, the AMP hasn't been affected.

Not sure how it matters in the long run, but so far for me I have had no issues.

Sorry to be a grave digger here, do you still have those photos? I'd like to do the same thing with the same amp and I would be very curious to see how your instal went. I actually have 2 amps I was going to do this with, did you go passenger or drivers side? I was going to put my 400.1 under the driver, and 350.4 under the passenger since the passenger has a little more room
