WTB: 3rd gen 4runner 4x4 Murrieta, CA

I am looking to buy a third generation 4runner 4x4 in Murrieta CA. Preferably stay close to this area or be able to travel to me as my only mode of transportation is borrowing a friends car.

-I am looking for a 4x4, E locker is a huge plus
-under 200k but if you have good records on the truck I am willing to buy one with more
-Limited with heated leather seats would be nice as I am from WA and do a lot of driving in cold/snowy conditions (This is not required)
-RELIABLE, I am in school right now and won't be able to work on it until I drive back to WA in Dec
-Under $5000, I am a college student so money is really tight right now.
-Prefer a stock rig so I can build it myself but if it has a few mods thats okay, or even a lift kit. but i want records and I don't want anything that has been trashed.

Keep looking and be patient.. you never know. It'll limit your years to 96/98. I wouldn't make miles a deal breaker. You're shooting for a hard find but there out there. Timing is everything!!

Silly WTB request.

Think about the demographic here, kid.

This is a forum mostly for folks who have done maintenance, want to do maintenance, or upgrades of their 4runners. Most will also know the value of their car and not want to respond to a "WTR" (Want To Rob) posting.

However, you are in luck. Because this thing called Craigslist is full of sub-$5000 4runners with lockers. They're often in rattier condition, with sagging rear suspension, but they exist. Some even have around 200k.

But the point is, listen to people here. Cuz you will waste less time on Craigstlist, then can come back here and actually get people to give you good insight on the various mods once you do buy a low-cost 3rd gen.
