WTB: 3rd Gen 4x4, 4runner ltd, 2000+ [SoCal]

Hi All,
I've been dreaming about a 3rd gen 4runner for the last decade, and now finally have an opportunity to pick one up. I'm really looking forward to joining the family.

The search is for a 2000+ 4wd Limited around the SoCal area, and my budget is $5-7k.

I've checked LA craigslist and ebay, and it's surprisingly dry, considering how many of them I see around.

Feel like passing on your trusted companion to someone who'll respect it? Give a shout.

Hate to break it to you, what your looking for in the SoCal area will most likely run you around 8-10k. Harrison auto in OC might be a start as they have some nice ones now and again and also Zube’s auto imports up in SLO if you fancy a scenic drive up the 101. Then there is also Miramar auto or something (autotrader only) they sell expensive 4runners. I know it’s not the info you’re looking for but you can use those as a starting point.

Texas is a great place to buy although far.

I'll keep that in mind moving forward... Guess I might need to re-evaluate my needs. Or check out Texas.

I just came across exactly what I was looking for, with only 85k miles, in fact, for $6k... Then realized from the pictures it was a 2wd

Really had me going back and forth on whether or not I needed 4wd

That would have been a steal!!! Also make sure the odometer hasn’t been tampered with. There is a huge thread about it especially with the analogs. I’ve been back and forth with a guy in Houston that has an 02 SR5 with 134k original miles and he wants 9500 clean Carfax too. Again best of luck, I just left San Diego for Texas and money used to be tight now I feel like a celebrity!
