WTB 3rd Gen OH,IN,KY, TN,GA? Willing to travel

Hey gang. I’m on the hunt for “the one”. I’ve been a day late for close to a year now. My daughter wants a camping rig and says a truck (Tacoma) simply will not work. So, if anyone is thinking about selling, please let me know!

I do have some parameters on my search. I would prefer a 99 or up rig. I would consider earlier models, but vanity is a heavy influencer so if it is an earlier model it needs to be a cool color

4x4 AUTOMATIC transmission.

Solid frame, no rust or patched up jobs-sorry

E-locker is a definite plus but not absolutely necessary if the truck ticks all the other boxes.

I would like to see less than 200k on the odometer-slightly flexible on that too.

My 1st choice would be a green 99’ highlander! Stellar blue is also a good look IMO.

I don’t care if the truck is modified or stock, but closer to stock is better for me as I do have a few parts on deck for my build.

I’m not looking to spend bring a trailer money, but I do understand the market is a little cray currently.

I’ve seen trucks in my demographic between 8-12k. That’s where I would like to be. If you’re close on price, drop a line anything is worth a conversation.

I have a bit of a proposition. I have pretty much what you’re looking for less the mileage and color however. I do have a 99 currently in my garage with a cracked drivers head. Originally purchased running from a member here who had full disclosure (he believed it to be the head gasket). Took apart the top half and found the crack. Needless to say, the vehicle was running when I trailered it.

Having said all that, I have since replaced the front leather seats, replaced the shifter bushings, and removed the carpet and cleaned the carpet/cab. Along with that is the new engine I have from yota1 sitting in my garage as well. This is a 0 mile remanufactured engine. The vehicle itself has 270k Texas it’s whole life, no rust. Have videos and pictures of it running.

Obviously, you’d have to trailer it and it’s not local to you. I’ve had a bit of a life change and have to commute from Austin to San Antonio and just don’t have the time to drop the new engine and get things running. Clean title, over all 8-10 exterior. Has welded rock slider (probably irrelevant) and a ham radio installed. Obviously not looking to throw this away but running i would list for 10k+. If interested we can proceed. With your healthy budget and what seems to be the lack of options strangely enough maybe we can work something out. Cheers

Thanks for the reply. However I’m in the same boat on time-hence my willingness to spend the coin for a good running one. Wish I could take on such a project, but a recent career change and my family comes before Toyota’s. I’ll be in touch if my position changes, THANKS!

It's got a FLA title, but I'm currently in the Atlanta, Ga area. Mileage is about 238k - bought it to eventually mod it out, but it's just too clean looking
I also installed a transmission cooler when I first got it, and have some Baja SAE fogs with rago fab brackets I was going to install but just haven't gotten around to it.

I have a 2007 4Runner SR5 4WD that I need to sell. It's a great vehicle. I've owned it since 2014; I bought it with 90,000 miles and and it now has 144,850 miles. It has ToyTech Springs and Bilstein 5100 shocks. White exterior, tan interior. Not special looking, but it's a great and capable vehicle. I realize you're hunting for a 3rd Gen, but maybe my 4th Gen would suffice. Looking to get 13,500 for my vehicle.
