WTB: 3rd Gen SR5

New member
I'm in the market for a 3rd Gen, preferably an SR5 vice a Limited. Looking for something with <250k miles (ideally) that is in solid mechanical shape. Service records are gold. Minor cosmetic issues are okay. Wanting to stay in the <$7k range, but could be flexible for the right 4Runner. In the Denver metro area and willing to travel within reason, 500 mile radius or so.

Thanks!

I have one....

Hi LodeRunner, (great game)

I have been 'toying' with the idea of selling my '99 SR5 4WD. It has 180k miles and is well maintained. I've installed a K&N cold air intake, throttle body spacer, cat back exhaust, Flowmaster series 60 exhaust, Sway-A-Way coil over front shocks, Old Man Emu read springs (medium) and a decent aftermarket stereo. It currently sits on a 2.5" suspension lift with 32" tires mounted to 16" off-road D-spoke wheels. It has HID headlights and I installed the Limited wood grain dash kit but have all the original black finish components. I may have some service records but have done most of the work myself or with the help of my friend who is a certified Toyota mechanic.

I'm an adult and take great care of my vehicles. I bought this truck used in 2013 from an adult in Huntington Beach. I am in Southern California which may be out of your radius, but thought I'd throw it out there.

The timing belt was changed at 140k along with a new water pump. I dropped all the fluids then and refreshed trans, diffs, cooling and brake fluids. Since then, I have been meticulous about changing the oil and filter every 4,000 with Mobile 1 Synthetic. It is a daily driver capable truck although I only drive it on weekends. About 10k ago, I changed the brakes all around to include turned drums with new shoes, new front calipers and new pads.

My only interest in selling would be to help fund a new Off-Road Tacoma. I think a fair price for my truck would be in your price range and I am open to negotiating with you.

If you're interested, PM me and we can exchange phone numbers and talk if you like. This is a good truck and may be worth your time/travel.

Happy hunting regardless.

Jeff

by the way...my original account on here is HOCKEYMAN. Check out that truck...that's me, but the system wouldn't let me recover my password so I was forced to create a new account here.
