WTB: 4runner...will pay finders fee!

I'm looking to buy a Toyota 4Runner in deep south Texas.

I would like a 3rd gen (97-2000) with the 3.4 and 4x4 or a 2nd gen with the 4cylinder and also 4x4.

I need it to be in good condition, reliable, and not need anything major. NO TURDS!

Possible finders fee: If you know of an aunt, friend, whoever that has one for sale and I end up buying it... I will PP you $25 for your troubles.

Need some more specifics. auto or 5 speed? Diff Locker? Base SR5 or limited? Mileage? How far are you willing to travel? How much you are willing to spend. These will help the search and get rid of unwanted styles or options.

To answer your questions...

I've found myself being less picky as time goes by. It has officially been 1 1/2 of looking.

Ideally I want a 3rd gen with < 150,000 miles, 4x4, 5 speed and $6000. I want the vehicle to be from a non-snow area, maintenance records and in very good shape. I dont want to do anything to this truck other than put gas in it and drive 3000 miles round trip.

Having the diff lock would be a plus, but is not needed.

However, if it has 200,000 miles, 4x4, auto I will not shy away from it. But again it needs to be 4x4, reliable and not from the north.

I will be willing to drive 3 hours as it puts me just outside SA, CC and large other border towns.
