WTB 4th gen 2008-2009 DC area

As per the title. I am in the dc/metro area. You can put anything on a trailer

Looking for 2008-2009 sport, limited, trail with 4x4 and a v8. The Lower miles the better.

Ideally want a 2009 Trail Edition V8 with 60,000 or less. I think this may be a needle in a haystack.

Must have V8 and 4x4 and low miles. In trim preference from most desireable to least Trail, Sport, Limited, SR5. I will be adding suspension/rims/tires upgrades.

Somebody will correct me if I'm I wrong, but I don't think the Trail was available with a V8. Sad too.

Good luck looking for one. I've been looking locally also with v8/4wd 07-09. I've used CarMax, cars,Autotrader, CarGurus. I like CarGurus the best. There's an 08 limited with 55k miles for $23k out there that I saw buy out of local area.

Trail did not have V8. I searched for 5 months using CL, eBay, truck trader, Carmax you name it.

The V8 option was last available in 09 BUT they were custom order mostly and finding one that somebody wants to sell is almighty impossible.

Add in desire for low miles, rust free non snow driven car in the right color is a Rao needle in a haystack scenario. I always suspected the late 4th gen 08/09 V8/4WD sport ed or Ltd would become sought after. The release of the 5th gen only helped. Just a few people off here but I do not care for the fifth GEN body style that's why I'm on only for Jan's and below and the V8 has to be driven to appreciated

What I'm leading up to is I did find my dream car and I'm starting to realize that I find the hunting and searching is a lot more fun than owning

if you're interested I have a super clean 2008 Sport edition 4X4 Galactic Gray with the preferred black checkered cloth interior that I would sell for.

I have 25 into it with shipping and assorted fees. Timing Belt was done as was brakes and water pump. Have all receipts and clean car fax.

I will go out on a thin limb and tell you that this 4Runnner is cleanest Low mile, rust free V-8 4 x 4 sport edition for sale in the country and maybe universe. In fact I know it is unless someone is not advertising. If somebody can prove me wrong you should buy it or I will

What's the lowest price you would sell for (most of us realize by now that just because you have an amount into a vehicle doesn't mean it will fetch that)? How many miles?

I found three that are between 101,000 and 145,000 miles with clean chassis, no accidents, good maintenance history and none of the "known" 4th gen problems. Two galactic gray micas and one natural white. All three are Limiteds (which do not have XREAS) and I'm ok with that because I have an easier suspension lift option that way. The only issue is that they are at dealers around the country (though all three are at Toyota dealers, not some tiny used car lot).

They range in price from $13,500 to $16,000 (but that last price has had no negotiation yet).

Working out which one this week.

My 2009 4Runner Search

I had a 2009 SR5 V6 last year with 68K miles on it. When a 2009 V8 Limited w/67K miles popped up for sale less than a mile from me I immediately went over and bought it because I knew how rare they truck was. In 2009 only ~19,500 4Runners were sold in the US so finding a Limited 4x4 V8 with low miles is almost impossible IMO.

As nuts as it sounds, I wanted to keep both. In the end, I sold the black one and added a few things to the white one.
