From what ive heard they changed mid 98 and I have the newer one... I believe the older ones were kind of cushiony and the one I have is firm

I think the difference is the 99 and up has an extra compartment and changed when they made the new console with the cupholders. I have an extra tan leather lid for a 96-98 if that would work.
