WTB: clean 2nd/3rd Gen 4x4 5spd

No problem. when you click reply you put the @ symbol in front of their screen name. My example is this [MENTION=10856]FISH HUNTER[/MENTION]. When you mention someone it is typed exactly like how I did your screen name. And for the build I suggest keeping it mild and clean maybe a mild lift and slightly oversized tires but mainly keeping it look stock and clean.

My current T4R was cut off and the other guy's ins totaled my car.

Here is what I had on my current one the Ins totaled:

H&R Rear Spring
Downey Off Road Tor Bar
Downey O Road Front Truss Support
Downy O Road A-Arm stops
RC Engineering Ported and Polished Throttle Body
Ported the throat of the intake manifold
Flame Thrower Injectors
Grounding Kit
Borla cat back exhaust
Magna Flow Cat
FIPK K&N Air Filter
Chipped CPU
Aisin Front Hub
Tran Cooler and Trans Temp gauge

3rd gen wheels with TOYO Open Country 31/10.5/15r
Window tint all around
Paint was shinny and no rips in the carpet or seats.

That is all I can remember off the top of my head.


My next one, I'm going to keep it simple...like upgrades you suggested

Yeah I would keep it simple and it looks like you did mainly maintenance upgrades to help it last longer which is what I'm doing with my sport and also the reason why I bought my 5 speed so I can go crazy with it. Good luck!

Been looking at a few 4runners listed as Excellent, but they have faded paint, ripped seats and leaks and dents.

Is it that hard to find a truly Excellent condition 2nd or 3rd gen out there?

Mine was a daily driver and I took that truck to the mountains to go fishing and we have been through snow and mud together. Mine had none of those issues I see listed as Excellent and I was pretty rough on that car.

I'm still working with a few sellers that have PM'd me on their T4R that might be for sale.

I asked 95 to send me a pic of where the oil is coming from on the undercarriage. I have not heard from him in a month or so as he said he was traveling about. I know he is in no hurry to sell.

Meanwhile, I'm still looking around. Was thinking of repairing mine and get that running until I can find a good 5 speed.

I saw one in Cars.com, but that seller has not replied to any PM's I have sent to him.

I'm still looking for that T4R that fits what I'm looking for.

I was in the Bay area and was thinking about heading to Sac to see that 2000, but the miles were a bit high for what I was looking for.

There is 3rd gen with a e locker, 5 speed on CL I might like to check out. This T4R has 154k miles and looks clean. There is also a 95 near by with 180k, but salvaged due to a theft. Body looks clean.

So for now, I picked up a 5spd, Real Time AWD, 2005 CRV-EX until I can find a clean second or third gen T4R. About as much power as my second gen, but I get 25-27 MPG on the HWY. The V will do for now until I find something I'm looking for.
